Montauk 4th of July '08

Henny, Wendy, Audrey and me on the deck of our oceanfront-trailer in beautiful Montauk, NY. We had a great time, but they discontinued the fireworks that used to be right across the street (early signs of the global credit crisis), so I don't think we'll be back next year.

Audrey and me at the New York Botanical Garden

They have the largest outdoor exhibit of Henry Moore's sculptures in the U.S.

558 E 191 Street Bronx NY

This is the apt. building my grandmother grew up in. She lived here until around 1936 or so before moving to another apt. in the Bronx. She met my grandfather around 1939 and eventually moved to NJ between 1940-1941. Need to verify dates.

Match this iTunes!

Are you feeling nostalgic? I have about 400 cds sitting in my mother's attic that need a home. The range of music is very diverse covering the '70s, '80s, '90s, new alternative, pop, rock, classical, r&b, funk, classical, electronic lounge, dance, house, ambient, jazz, disco, latin and all the crazy sub-genres you can think of.

Take 'em all for $1 a pop (you can do the math) or if you're in the Long Branch, NJ area, drop by and hand pick what you want. If you only like one song on the cd you can have it for 50 cents.

iTunes can't match this deal!

If you're thinking, I don't want to have a bunch of CDs cluttering up my apt., then do what I did –– download them into your computer and then have a yard sale or something.

Jamaica

Audrey and I loved Jamaica more than we expected. We heard people would be trying to sell us shit constantly, but it really was like that, as long as you don't leave the resort.  Seriously though, Negril is beautiful. We stayed at the Couples Swept Away www.swept-away.com resort, which was awesome, despite the queer name. Great service, delicious food and the people are genuinely friendly and didn't try to sell us shit. Can you believe they even had a pool bar? We got hammered there a couple nights.  On lady even fell backwards and nearly drowned she was so drunk.

Played tennis everyday (all lessons, clinics and court time are included) got in a round of golf. That's Audrey looking for her ball in the pond (it definitely went in the water). http://www.negrilhillsgolfclub.com/

Do you know what time it is?

It's time to buy a cool watch. Do you check the time on your phone, but still like to wear a watch?  Then this Nixon ("The Rover" model) is for you. I paid $120 a few years ago, so make me a reasonable offer. It's just lying around keeping time until someone comes along to appreciate it again.

Check out this year's model at: www.nixonnow.com/watches/mens/the-rover-A125.html

What's it worth?

It's worth the amount of enjoyment we get from it being on our wall.  Unless you can make me a better offer.
